Happy halloweeen!!!!

Happi uber-late HALLOWEEN wishes ev1 !! lol ahhhh halloween, if only ppl started giving black colored hongbaos on this day, sooner or later it'll end up a public holiday!! but til then, we can all go abt our daily lives scaring the shit outa ppl or getting freaked out by the costumes of others, although i wonder if the latter is actually due to the horridness of their supposed 'goth' looks and not really cos they're freaky!!

LOL oh come on....now before u start criticizing the poor coordination of mascara and lipstick color of the girl that just walked past you, 1st take a gd hard look at urself!! Are you dressing up for Halloween??  Thought so!! so give a break to those who actually bother to break away from the mundaness of our ever-so-boring singaporean life and give them ur most supportive smile!

Meanwhile, manda intro-ed me this apparently spooky site, which was developed and funded by Frito-Lay, yesh tt's rite the company tt produces chips like Doritos. O well its halloween so what the heck, i tried it out and here's mi honest opinion:

Scare Factor : 6 yawns outa 10 screams

The cut-scene that started out the whole thing was like a 1st-person view in some horror movie, so OK tt got me a lil hooked. then i'm runing down the aisle and supposed to click myself into the exit door, which amazingly opens up to a toilet, and off i am to the second stage of the game(total of 10 stages). ok here's the scariest part of the game: ur supp to take a pic of this "Emily Rose" character (from exorcist...u haven't watched tt?? GASP!!) banish her with the flash of the camera...and the look on her face well...u mite not wanna lean too close to the screen wen playing that particular stage.

But from there on, the game started to become more like...well a GAME...the use of flash(not camera la...macromedia la dei!!!) was awesome esp. the haunted baby scenes, but that also meant the loading times in between the stages was highly distracting and made u feel more irritated rather then building up the tension!

Overall, i'd still say its worth trying cos its kinda fun(some stages are not really tt easy to complete) but is it worthy of a scare?? nah i tink the only ting tt realli gives me sleepless nights are....my EXAM RESULTS!! BAAAAAAAAH...lol trick or treeeeeeeeet!!

as i walk on this long road on mi own, i'm starting to miss ppl along the way. reminiscent times not helping to alleviate the turmoils within the heart. hate, anger, jealously and regret clouds mi understanding-ness creating unnecessary moodiness. i'm starting to turn into sum1 else i dun realli wanna end up being..haiz is it physically impossible to revive back urself from the past?? well i oso noticed i'm very much affected by my surroundings and acting in accordance to the situations i end up in, much like a predator adapting to a hunting ground. hmm this is bad!!

back to reality..................whoooa finally cot heroes ep 7 and must i say hahaha its realli quite captivating and now its like a war between the 2 companies: PineHearst and PrimaTech, basically one's run by the dad arthur petrelli da latter angela petrelli. since the mum's in a coma set up by da villains, the dad's starting to gather up an army. the crazy part abt heroes is ev1's manipulating one another and the naivety of the victims is amusing although understandable since no1 has all the answers.

OOOOh and all those who haven't watched ep06 or 07: here's a BIG SPOILER------- PETER"S LOST HIS POWERS!!!GASP

its also quite cool how sylar now has become one of the gd guys....can't waait for the next episode, which is prob the last one i'd catch before the exams!! lol

there's a lota debris on our roads today....

hmm had an interesting day yesterday, started studying at adm but realli wasn't productive although jus stepping back into the aura of the place is jus sooo nice. and weird enough i was like goin over in mi head of possible additions i must have in my future house. the occasional random tots of changing course. then i tot abt u..yesh u...no not her..SHUDDUP...lol...and ya but maybe i was tinking of another her...and then just blankness..weird...

went out for lunch at hall 13 wif amanda we walked from the korean stall to the mee soto(which apparently sold evting but mee soto..hmm??) and finally decided on the western stall, whose vendor started to crack some small talk...blahblahblah....had chix cutlet and 2 60cent teh pengs, cudn't get back on da shuttle bus cos of their no-drink policy...bastard dint even open da dr to let some gal out  jus cos he dint wan me rushin in....went over to sch of mass comm to meet up wif danielle n WENXUE..haha maybe they shd have used wenxue yrs ago as a poster boy for the 'Smile Singapore' Campaign....

o had was listening to da awesomely interesting chatter of jacq and thad...thad n Jacq....thadJacq...jacqThad (i jus had to rhyme their names) lol.....thad amusingly was getting all hyped abt getting his teammates to standardise their attire for their presentation and jacq conveniently vandalised...OOPS I MEAN...provide some 'Constructive' comments on my notes..for example Silicon is a semiconductor...yup i'm preety sure i'll forget tt after all i am an ENGINEER. hilarious...

ended da day wif mi luvly stacey dropping me off at halfway across the island saving me travelling time...and i was abt to type this out in her car but i realized how rude tt was...i mean wa lau img how boring tt journey wud have been if we dint say a word...sumhow i'm reminded of joanne..MUAHAHAHa

life's full of surprises and opportunities and basically its really up to u to be patient enough to wait for them and not keep whining away abt our misfortunes....forgive but remember, nvr forget!

it wasn't realli a big celeb for the 1st time, i din't go over to mi grandma's place. haiz goddamn adult politics between mi dad n aunt...and who's da one affected by it...da cousins!! aiyo damn well tt's one ting i'm thkful to technology for hahaha else i've no idea how we're gonna keep in touch!! food: well i did go house visits and boy was i attacking the goodies like a damn cookie monster...it seeems no1 makes their own stuff but buy it all wholesale from across the border from our "frenly" northern neighbours. so odd so wen we comment abt the foodstuffs, its more like comparing which shop does it bttr??! O and it was inevitable but yesh global turmoil has had a direct impact in mi daily life as well, mi hongbaos got kena recession sia!! but overall it was a small drop, EH BUT STILL DROP K!! -whines, grumbles, whine summore-

and spking of food, Stacey, Peiyu, Joanne and me went over to hall 5 to eat the steamboat there...hmm not impressed seriously by alota things but it was generally too much vege and so lil meat, the worst part we can't buy just da meat seperately. plus dun't try da rojak or fondue there too, realli not worth ur time or money. haiz and as i walked thru mi old 'home'....i kept getting flashbacks: seeing me n farhan rushing down the stairs to catch Bus C or A, walking down the walkway and seeing mi face being STEPPED on cos it was on mi hall production poster pasted on the floor, the blackout on level 2 that made me n my neighbours come out and bitch together abt the freq power failures, the gd lauffs i had in the room wif my 2 BEST buds farhan n Fizh, Or the numerous drinking sessions at the green block sofa where 6 brudders shared their life experiences and helped each other through the hardest of relationships.....haiz and i tink i bttr stop the list right there else i risk dropping moisture and potentially damaging mi lappie. I hate gd memories.....cos i can forget the bad ones easily but the gd ones just have a way of making me cringe and feel like crap...

These prices are AFTER the respective station's price discounts.....so to all car owners, its a gd time  to start investing in a huge metal drum in ur back seat and boot to store up some precious gas for the road ahead to come...but den again, its all about compromise: saving for a rainy day or having the constant fear of an explosive hazard ready to turn u into Bak kwa in ur car!!

reading the papers over the wkend, the main article about 500 plus ppl heading out to spk corner to KP about banks cheating them. now they demand some of their money back??? OMG WTF R u serious?? after reading more, it seems those more adversely affected were those retirees who decided to buy into these products. my qn to them is: you can't even read english, let alone understand the market dynamics and yet U fork out your savings just cos some sly banker told you it was a gd investment?? If it was such a gd investment, Y are we still working...we all just invest la!!

To all my frens, a word of advice dun trust the banks! i mean yep of cos there are exceptional products which can deliver the dividends it promises, however similar to the Lehman Bros linked product its soo cross-linked, if one institution fails the whole contract renders invalid, meaning NO PAYOUT. But pls don't go around tinking that investments like these have money-back guarantees. To be safe, LEARN N INVEST on your own. Try not to fork out ur money to banks cos they're just pushing money around. To them ur 20K is peanuts to the amount they play with, so instead watch these big players' moves and copy. If there's a company who think is preeti sound but the banks investing in it start pulling out, dun't Kay kiang and still keep buying, sumthing fishy mite be goin on that only they know. Only you know how much risk ultimately you wanna indulge in, plus since ur working so hard to earn from ur 9-5 job and not OUTSOURCING that, y should U do the same for ur investments huh?

Not engaging in hard-selling (I'm not getting a friggin cent from dis...DARN...o well tink of it as GD KARMA), but Adam's bk titled the 'Secrets of Millionaire Investors ' is really a gd read for yal to get started in knowing about stuff like stocks, options, technical indicators. Trust me anyting i recommend is realli gd, even if its picking out clothes...LOL, so ya start by reading this book then a MUST-TRY go start signing up for a virtual account at any online broker and get some hands-on experience with what you've learnt. Hope this helped you guys a bit but if ur more interested, jus lemme noe i can help clear ur doubts or at least try find out for you k!!

After which we each had our own cold rock ice creamy, aft the thai xpress setting back mi budget i cudn't realli afford mi gummi bears..OR rather prob it was a gd excuse to prevent seeing mi luvly gummis being beheaded! Nooooooo

wrote on two post-its above and between the 1st O & D. not gonna tell u wad it is but mi name's there so shdn't be too hard to spot. Although i must say there are so many sad ppl that tink dis is soem board they can write love notes or bdae dedications on. Seriously man!! It was inspired out of man's constant procrastination in life. then again, how true that is, i mean wen's da last time u put off tt stg impt in your life??

Smashing wkend....it was busy...in a gd way! although being busy now when the exams are so near is not particularly a good ting!

SAT:

Went out drinking wif mi green blk homies @ WALA x2. not too bad a crowd and whilst drinking and updating on each other's lives, we did the one ting guys always do...keep monitoring ur radar .hurhur. but ya as usual the top was crowded so cudn't realli chk out the band much although they were sounding good! tried out the leffe dark according to poh's recomm. turned out to be stout and i must say the stouts i've tried so far actually are not too bad, its realli like a mix between a dark beer and red wine. interesting indeed!!

O and farhan started arguing wif me for random stuff on the train and i jus gave him the hand...and i emphasize THE and not A...i wasn't tt drunk!! lol yup but dude apparently MJ is not retro, well sori but as far as i noe retro's pretti much any genre from the past can be called retro i mean hell in 40 yrs from now, they mite jus be calling kylie minogue and britney as retro artists. Key note: nvr argue wif prak after he's been drinking cos he's just not gonna be as accommodating!!

Attempted to finish up mi proj slides, managed to do a bit but still lots more to go....o well no time had to rush out and meet 'manda at vivo. ate over the the food republic and finally AFTERSOOO LOOONG i had mi scissors-cut curry rice!!! I LIKE....muahahha oldskool sia although it was a lil pricey (5 bux for 2 veg 1 meat 1 egg) i jus sigh in knowledge tt its all cos of inflation. Straight after we dint waste anytime but hit out da shops.

ZARA, River Island, S&K, Pull & Bear, etc etc....

wanted to buy a pink t-shirt at pull & bear(which is realli has stuff  i wud wear) and tot of Fizh at the same time...unfort they dint have size L...darn it was realli a cool ass metro tee. hahaha o well since i cudn't buy anyting i just had to make amanda buy stg!! i mean i feel soo guilty evtime we go shop i end up being the one buyin stuff!! lol so while at P&B i turned mi eyes and gazed upon dis top dat just screamed "i'm a hottie so i can be dis naughty" and told her to chk it out and after trying out the size, she kept blaming for making her buy tt top...BUT honestly it reali was a great top for 34.90.

And finally i managed to catch HOUSE BUNNY wif da 2 birds(vick joined us later), who tried to smoke us that she could reach town from expo in 15 mins...rite!!

aniways back to the movie...for those for u who haven't cot it yet U REALLI shd its hilarious..GUYS its anna faris from the scary movie series...u noe the chick who breathes after every sentence...droooooool!!! hahahha but yeh lotsa heartwarming scenes esp the part where she got rejected from her sorority house..AWW....but ya awesome movie all in all

And it realli irks me wen SOME chicks say OH guys shdn't catch dis movie or ITS A chick flick...HULOOOOO for god's sake i got a reallll shocker wen i saw dat its onli rated PG...haiz o come on la its not like us guys go up to you and say "eh babe dun watch Big Stan, its oozing wif testosterone i'm afraid u can't control ur excitement ". some ppl jus luv being a BIG FAT TURBAN!!!

• 1 assignment: due on 7 nov, but if i wait tt long den i no need to study for exams la
• 1 proj presentation: due the day right after deepavali
• 7 exams spread out from nov13 to nov27

haiz man and right aft mi exams are over, there's onli one ting to do......VOLCANO!! hahaha...

was watching the news yestdae and apparently there's a campaign to deter youths from binge drinking! hahah i wunder which age grp they're tokin abt wen they say youths...so sad rite, although i'm not really disappointed for losing mi youthness...eh SHOW ME THE MONEY MAN and i'll find back mi youth..haiz it realli sux to be poor but o well...

finally i'll be heading out for drinks dis wkend at WaLas wif da boys after like eternity! binge drinking is such a sad ting...jeez MODERATION ppl...its not like if u haven't eaten cake for a while and u buy a 2KG cake to satisfy ur cravings rite??? hahaha....man does tt 2kg cake story reallllli crack me up!!

some mofo stole mi damn USB charger i left plugged into the com at mi mse lab today....curse that mofo that he'll dabao 6(cos i was gone for 6 hrs) subjects every sem and stay in ntu so long vanwilder will become more like a documentary than a comedy to him...y du i always keep losing USB chargers; 1st was cos of farhan and now dis....bah!!

ok enuff of da hate and all....back to wad where I MIA-ed todae: was working @Nanyang audi as an usher for CN Yang's Convocation. Ok la saw quite a few interesting characters but other than that it was pretty much easy money...well its working in sch so not too bad although they do have a scary tendency to chk ur timetable if there are any clashes wif work:

started doing mi MS3003 assignment and thkfully i managed to get stg done else cos i rather get this over and done with cos its not stg i can type out last minute.....bascially i gotta analyse the materials failure of the BOAC Comet aircraft....did u noe that when this plane failed in the 1950s it actually had flights orginating from the old kallang airport from singapore..DAMN i wunder if i should add tt in mi report, but i think mi prof's just gonna slam it for irrelevance...LIKE DER!!

spent $5 bucks to buy a pencil case set for some youth expedition in sch who are flying off to build schools in Cambodia....apparently the guy couldn't realli convince me to donate til he mentioned those magic words...'dude it'll give U gd KARMA'...boy am i sucker for tt! if there's one ting i learned from life...NEVER EVER fuck wif KARMA

later in the day went out wif stace & gang on another study mission. yesh when it comes to me, studying is nvr a session but rather a mission. if i dunt complete the particular chapters, i tie miself to da chair and whip mi ding-a-lings...sadly prob onli daniel craig can relate to the pain....NAh i'm just kidding but seriously ya its kinda sad i have to trudge mi ass all the way from tamp to boonlay evdae just to study. evtime i try studying at home i wander off into lalaland. and if i had to choose between sitting thru 8 subs or tingling mi ding-a-lings, i'd say i'm stuck wif a pretti tuff choice....

Cudn't resist the temptation and started watching mi heroes again....Season 3 is finally out and boy does it look gd!!!

Sylar's turned gd...not for looong though, claire's gone over to the dark side...and looks much hotter now, mohinder's become a freak....wif an awful skin rash, niki's got another twin......who has some icy powers, and a lota villains have entered the Warzone.....

Mi most favourite characters would be sylar & peter and the one i hate the most: Nathan's Mum..SHE'S PURE EVIL!!!
