whoa a lil heads-up peeps, there’s a pretti freaky virus gg arnd (technically spking its a worm). it realli has a unique name though: downandup…hahaha which prob means when u click to activate the virus it downloads into ur com and uploads it back thru ur server. Why on earth wud u click a virus u ask?? well apparently it pops up when u plug in ur thumbie…u noe tt autoplay screen that asks u whether u wanna view da files or play them etc etc..well an option in dat same dialog box mimicks the actual one so if u click da one dat says INSTALL program…ur pretty much screwed…if ur still confused chk out the pic below and u noe wad i mean!!
Well assuming its too late and u’ve been affected, most antivirus prog shd be able to help u outa this jam…but the best way to protect urself:
- Install da windows update security patch
- LOOK TWICE before click when u see a dialog like the one above
- Disable the autorun/autoplay function in ur com (if u need details to do this PLEASE ask me)
Here’s a lil other stuff i learned today: hmmm petrol prices haven’t gone up since the 4 cent increase on 7 jan so tt’s gd!!; Obama has officially stepped into the oval office and is oreadi starting to be a people president by calling for transparency on staff pay; and i just found that our local ministers have also been given a pay cut..and da poor felows only get 1.5 million a yr now…mi condolences?? rite riteeee….
