Well lemme start with an overall outlook...the last time i strolled outside on a fri, da place was packed out plus there was a cover! so a wkday i had booked for 5 , lo n behold i realised the whole place pretty much mine..
Crowd:
da crowd was generally older (OLDER den me...although there were some hot ppl)! pretty funky outlook although it was soo dark so u can't realli appreciate the interesting decor! Not too many ppl on a wkdae which makes it an excellent place to chill out and tok stuff.
Service:
hmmm well i'm da kind of person that factors in that 10% in mi head even b4 i step into a place so not realli particular abt it. but it was generally a 5 outa 10, nuthing extra but the fact that they managed to be patient wif vick's destructive 4-yr old behaviour, she dint stop even after wiping out 2 candles..aiyooo VICK wth hahaaha...O and it was in gd karma cos wen vick cheekily asked wad a a quickfuck was, da waiter promptly responded "Oh its a quickie realli.." and went on to tok abt da drink!! lol
Drinks:
Not a wide variety. Was disappointed cos onli had 3 beers and the the draft on tap was CARLSBERG...du i look like TAY PING HUI to u?? only he drinks dat shit....muahha aniways we tried da house specialities like the:
- On the dot -- which was horrible, tasted like bitter medicine...HORRIBLE...who da hell mixes midori with rum?? uck...
- Helipad Milkshake -- hmm this one not too bad...if u were in da mood to drink melted strawberry ice-cream..but stil a 7/10
- Helipad Iced tea -- The strongest! tink of long island but its blue...hahaha prob the most worth it...8.5/10
Interior:
The entrance doors were the most captivating and thus invite a lota Zi pai moments...well at least onli wen i'm arnd!! haha but the doors like an elevator at first sight, but when they open up reveal a fullly-mirrored walkway into the place. the first floor was ur typical bar-ry kinda place..too dark though! the music was pretty gd after we came in..played some gd ol skool rock..but the most impressive wud be the alfresco viewing gallery @ lev2.its got a view of clarke quay although at the 5th floor, dunt ask for too much! at least u get a breeze and its quieter for you to realli open up ur soul and have a gd lauff wif frens...but beware of the rain!lol
All in all, i like helipad very much but infortunately i can't say its a gd spot for a regular hangout! more like chilling once a wk or twice a mth kinda ting! Unfotunately, the picx are all in manda's cam so until i send mi secret panda over to her place,pls patiently wait till its up on FBk!
