ahhh a gd looong wkend but alas we had to return back to our respective life roles although i must say to a VERRY short work wk…hope ur chinese new yr was gd!! and hopefulli sum ppl wud be kind enuff to share either their hongbao or some bak kwa wif dis poor ah neh??? hahaha aww coome on at least gimme bak kwa and fatten me up lei!! lol…

aniwhoo had a smashing delight on ‘chu-er’, which at first i tot was da dae dat not supp to go visiting but lo n behold tt was actualli chu-san so HENG-ah…no bad luck for me!! well met up on tue wif mi pri sch frens, whom i’ve not been in contact for like….12 YEARS…yup tt’s rite!! scary rite…ahaha and amazingly ev1 still seemed da same..da quiet ones were still quiet and the tomboy well, despite da now-developed and misleading body of hers, she’s still a guy up in her head!! classic characters from prakky’s past indeed…da best part was we cud still clique like we were back in class….squabble,squabble, squabble …talk and lauff..squabble, squabble…den lauff summore….and squabble a lil bit more…ahhhh da sense of nostalgia jus kept me grinning da whole time..

and i must say but its been a while since i’ve been arnd a group tt big where ev1 was da same age! interesting….jus interesting…

and back to work…wow i nvr tot i’d say this but i’m soo bored at work i’m dying…i mean i’ve got work to do but da deadlines for mi proj are like ridicously lax…well i hope no moron tinks i’m complaining…i’m just reporting so yeah!!..although i’ve got ano boss who comes up wif da most random work to do at da most random times and by dat i mean he can give me a job at 515 when i’m clearly packing up!………………………

whoa a lil heads-up peeps, there’s a pretti freaky virus gg arnd (technically spking its a worm). it realli has a unique name though: downandup…hahaha which prob means when u click to activate the virus it downloads into ur com and uploads it back thru ur server. Why on earth wud u click a virus u ask?? well apparently it pops up when u plug in ur thumbie…u noe tt autoplay screen that asks u whether u wanna view da files or play them etc etc..well an option in dat same dialog box mimicks the actual one so if u click da one dat says INSTALL program…ur pretty much screwed…if ur still confused chk out the pic below and u noe wad i mean!!

 

Well assuming its too late and u’ve been affected, most antivirus prog shd be able to help u outa this jam…but the best way to protect urself:

1. Install da windows update security patch
2. LOOK TWICE before click when u see a dialog like the one above
3. Disable the autorun/autoplay function in ur com (if u need details to do this PLEASE ask me)

 

Here’s a lil other stuff i learned today: hmmm petrol prices haven’t gone up since the 4 cent increase on 7 jan so tt’s gd!!; Obama has officially stepped into the oval office and is oreadi starting to be a people president by calling for transparency on staff pay; and i just found that our local ministers have also been given a pay cut..and da poor felows only get 1.5 million a yr now…mi condolences?? rite riteeee….

yooo aiyoooo sooo pain sooo pain…owww owww..man mi whole body is aching sia! finally rushed out after work and started running @ bedok reservoir…lol realli feels like i’m back in hall xcept i have no roomie and i got a warden who locks da if she’s pissed tt i came back soo late…!! haiz….aniways hahaha ya but it realli was a gd run! i set mi goal tt i wudn’t not stop til i reached da very end and i managed to do jus tt…although i had to mutter off expletives it realli did help to gimme tt xtra oohmpf….LOL

And spking of work waaah….lemme ask u guys stg?! if say u were at work and its 5 mins to lunch and so ur getting mentally ready to log off ur com to go down and jus den….ur colleague turns to u and says i need to go down to the lab for a while…tt’s where ur other colleague hints out can’t u go like AFTER lunch..and she replies back nah i HAVE to go now!! ook i dunno abt u guys but i found tt pretty RETARDED…dunno if da fact tt she’s not local had to play a part but ya!! aniways was reading mi horoscope at work todae and looked under the section of ‘year in overview’ and discovered that for me evting’s gonna go all swell now up til mid Feb…hmmm damn now isn’t tt like friggin bleak!! BAH…..hmmm mid feb! rite after valentine’s day…well i’m still single and i dun realli have a date in mind so i dun realli tink anyting bad’s gonna happen in tt department!!! LOL…haiz..o well…

man wad a wk it was.. wen down to sch to meet up wif da 2 Fs and chk on sch and boy must i say i’m preeti thkful i dint end up there alone cos boy are they a dead bunch!! hopefulli mi 2 Fs manage to pull thru n still keep their sanity…and the best part wah piang mi bosses @ mi workplace dint even realise i was gone!! well i tink compared to da numerous huge-ass probs they face evdae, a non-existent intern wud be da least of their worries! lol

and boy O boy was yest fun!! WEnt out for D n D @ timbre art’s house for S’s bdae! saw her frens from sec sch and now tt i tink back i tink da only 3 names i can remember are bernice, steph and jasmine!! lol plus other ppl i knew oso came along like P, ching  n joanne! and i must say tt was da loongest time i’ve stayed at timbre from before da sun even set til da midnite charge in cab started…o ya but to sidetrack a lil wah piang we took half an hr to search for a cab arnd tt area even wen we walked to 3 diff roads the onli time we got a cab was cos P called for one!! DAAAARN uncle dun wan even mullah isit? must be cos of all those surcharges dammn niggas prob now show us  ‘tài du’ la!! haizyooo….aniways back to da story in hand, part of mi conquest to find da best long island tea, i jus had to order one here n it SUCKED!! BIG TIME SIA…taste like iced tea can!! ugh..but den went on to find ano two drinks i dun like(courtesy of Ching): Pina colada( cos of the confusion of rather dubious coconut-plus-god knows wad mixture) and the singapore sling(i have no idea y wud any angmoh wud wanna drink this, got taste like spices !! i tink nutmeg)

but all in all the whole night was ended awesomely with a toast to da bdae gal(who i hope likes her pressie; Sori S i’m realli bad wen it comes to tinking of wad to buy! :( ) and a whole lota zi pai moments!! and alas now i’ve gota get back to figuring out how i’m gonna write mi logbk entries..i wunder if i can start wif: “dear logbook, da dae started with a cold shower cos mi fucked-up dad switched off the heater cos he wanted to force me outa da shower and then……” hmm?? i’m preetti sure i gotta leave those details out unfortunately…

just caught an awesome movie: ‘Lions for lambs’, starring Tom Cruise, Meryl Streep, and Robert Redford (who LOOKS like the same guy as the villain in spiderman one, William Dafoe)  . wow its been a while since i’ve cot a movie which finally needed me to use mi brain. Basically the movie is all about the war in Afghanistan and its domestic impacts to the US. 3 perspectives: the college professor and a young ‘bo-chap’ student who has the potential to achieve more; his 2 previous students who had joined the army, to do a greater gd and bring abt change by fighting for it, and are battling for their lives in the Taleban backyard; the highly acclaimed over-achieving journalist who finally opens her eyes after interviewing the senator who is determined to sacrifice at whatever cost to see the enemy destroyed.

Lies and Manipulation, have become but the tools, or rather the toys, of those in power. Their partners-in-crime: Mass media!! And together they occasionally spread manipulative propaganda which u mite tink are facts but are only the side of the story that they want you to see. But are they really the ones to blame? do you realli take evting u see in the news wholesale and just go abt ur life basing ur opinion on the stuff they show. do u ever ask urself if all stories from all the parties concerned are fairly represented?? hmmm  i am…..mi time to keep on pondering and asking why why why has come…

recent events regarding human interactions have me left puzzled at certain human behavioral traits. how can someone talk or act in such manners leaves me shaking mi head from here to kazhakztan(which mi dear colleague @ work tinks is a state in malaysia....hahaha oook). haiz aniways its sad to ppl like this but da lesson to learn from this is, "Practice what you Preach"....i.e dun't be a HYPOCRITE!! haaha hmm maybe i shd add tt into my list of resolutions. But, ya eventally ppl get wad they deserve....or so i hope....

Aniways, work's preetti fine for me although i must say da 2 beside are so unoccupied; one wants to die asleep and other looks ready to strangle sum1 with her hands...hahaha and i must say i am pretti pleased by the fact that i dun't have any unpaid OT....YET!! the yet turned to caps cos as to response to Si ying who is blatantly staring over at mi screen as i type this post....lol....ok she's gone!

Ahh yesh and there's this awesome mentor i met at work, Richie(i hope tt's how u spell his name?), really nice guy who's always ready to help out whenever i have any doubt on any matter at work..plus we were talking abt marathons and it led up to "les-run-@-bedok reservoir-2gether"...awesome!! finally its abt time i started back running again and build up mi stamina again..i mean seriously la i'm starting to pant like a bitch just by goin up the overhead bridge la...NIGGA PLSSSSSS...

aniways i found a way to clear mi boredom: gonna brush up on mi photoshop skills and learn abt Adobe Flash, Fireworks and premeire. so i can hopefulli use these skills to drop in more funds to the now dwindling Prakky-licious unit trust!!! mullahhhs baby its ALL ABT DA MUUUULAHHS!!!

Haiz funni…as i write this post i’m listening to Hinder’s lips of an angel and starting to feel preeti emo rite now…was looking back at my pathetic attempt at resolutions for ‘09 but dammn other then not being late for mi appointments, i can’t really tink of any suggestions to improve miself…possibly coz every damn one i can tink of, the possibility of me completing it seems rather far-fetched. O well, bollocks i’ll just stick to one for now…

wow and finally since its da new yr i finally dun have to vegen every sat…phew wad a relief not so much da fact i have to force miself to eat green..believe me i’ve attained da state where i eat to live and not vice versa, unless of cos we’re talking abt a buffet!! lol…and now da tunes of Josh groban…hmmm well its almost one wk of mi attachment and all seems to be goin well..i hope mi peeps in sch can say da same too =)

YO Happy new yrs me luvlies!! WOW has it been ages since i’ve blogged out here…WELL PRAKKY’S BACK NIGGAAAS!!

Finally its 2009, yr of the OX and in case any1 doesn’t noe or has sumhow forgotten mi age, this is the yr most 1985s have been waiting for! although Fizh told me tt its actually not gd for those born in the yr of da OX…i’d like to believe tt its so untru…Having a lil faith nvr killed any1…hmmm…rite?? RITE??? daaaamn and evtime i look at FB sum girl,the same age as me, is getting married!! crap if there’s such a ting as a quarter-life crisis…GOD DAMN I’m soo goin thru it rite now..

But enuff of the delirious rantings, had a great NYE countdown at Keppel Bay Marina…Guys a lil hint, if u need a new quiet spot to bring ur woman by a waterway wif a view U shd chk this place out!!…2008 was one hellava yr for me, but o well as always i jus gotta count mi blessings as they come by as much mi misfortunes keep slamming me down..

Time to move on ahead, as many new frenships i’ve forged n broken in da past yr now its consolidate mi tidings and embark on my journey to rediscover mi true self…its a loong and arduous task but i can’t take this disgusting pansy-ass creature i’m turning into. Maybe, this yr i goota come up with a bunch of new yr resolutions to get mi shit sorted out (i can’t help but lauff at tt line…)..Mi 1st one i PROMISE i’ll make sure i stick to is: TO MAKE IT ON TIME FOR ALL MY APPOINTMENTS!!

hahahahah….ahhh o yesh and i’ve started mi attachment today…pretty cool place well mi boss and colleagues seem pretti ok ppl to work wif so i aint grumbling….maybe cos ultimately i’m just relieved i dun have FRICKIN EXAMS dis sem…phew!! o n yesh in da midst of mi new 1st dae boredom routine managed to catch the STOMP site, referred by Mz Si Ying mi fellow partner-in-crime, and managed to come across this story and after reading da comments i can’t help but lauffing mi ass off at some of them esp the one by ~bangraman~ hahaha……enjoy!
